Billing & Pricing

LGS Forge uses a simple usage-based billing model — you only pay when you make sales on products managed by LGS Forge.

How It Works

LGS Forge charges 1% of sales on products managed through our platform. This means:

  • No monthly subscription fee — you're not paying for products sitting on a shelf
  • Pay only when you sell — fees are based on actual sales, not product count
  • Transparent pricing — you always know exactly what you're paying

Example

ScenarioManaged SalesLGS Forge Fee
Sell a $5.00 card$5.00$0.05
Sell 10 cards totaling $50.00$50.00$0.50
Sell a $200 booster box$200.00$2.00
Monthly sales of $5,000$5,000.00$50.00

Monthly Cap

Your usage fees are capped at $500/month by default, so your costs are predictable even at high sales volumes. This cap can be adjusted in your billing settings.

What Are "Managed Products"?

Products synced through LGS Forge are automatically tagged as managed products using a Shopify metafield ($app:managed_by). When a customer purchases a managed product, the sale is tracked for billing purposes.

Only products created or synced by LGS Forge are considered managed — your other Shopify products are not affected.

Getting Started with Billing

For Shopify App Store Users (Embedded Mode)

Billing is handled directly through Shopify's app billing system:

  1. When you first use a feature that requires billing, you'll be prompted to approve a usage-based subscription
  2. Click Approve on the Shopify confirmation page
  3. Charges appear on your regular Shopify bill

For Standalone Users (SaaS Mode)

  1. Log in at app.lgsforge.com
  2. Connect your Shopify store from the Dashboard
  3. When prompted, approve the billing subscription through Shopify
  4. You're all set — billing is tracked automatically

New to LGS Forge?

Sign up for free and connect your store to get started. You won't be charged until you make sales on managed products.

Billing Cycle

  • Fees are calculated and charged daily
  • Each billing cycle runs monthly from the date you subscribed
  • You can view your current cycle's fees in the app under Billing Status

Viewing Your Billing Status

In the app, you can check:

  • Managed Sales Total — Total sales on managed products this cycle
  • Fee Accrued — Current fees accumulated (1% of managed sales)
  • Total Charged — Amount already charged this cycle
  • Capped Amount — Your monthly billing cap

Frequently Asked Questions

When do I start getting charged?

You're only charged when customers purchase products that were synced through LGS Forge. If you sync products but nobody buys them, you pay nothing.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. You can cancel your billing subscription at any time from your Shopify admin or account settings. Products already in your store will remain, but they will no longer be tracked as managed products.

What happens if I hit the monthly cap?

Once you reach the $500/month cap (or your custom cap), no additional fees are charged for the remainder of that billing cycle. Your products continue to work normally.

Is billing the same for all stores?

Each connected Shopify store has its own billing subscription. If you manage multiple stores, each is billed independently based on its own sales.

Where can I see my charges?

  • Embedded Mode: Charges appear on your Shopify bill under app charges
  • Standalone Mode: View billing status in the LGS Forge dashboard
